The project

The roof. A home with several hips, valleys and a chimney, looking out to the mountains around Invermere.

Tear-off and decking. The old roof came off down to the deck. Where the decking needed it, new sheathing went on so the new roof had a solid, flat base.

A complete Malarkey system. Synthetic underlayment covered the deck, then Malarkey Smart Start starter, Malarkey Legacy shingles and matching Malarkey hip and ridge cap went on top.

Why Legacy. Legacy shingles are made with rubberized (SBS) asphalt, so they stay flexible in the cold and stand up to impact far better than a standard shingle.
