Roof Tune-Up and Skylight Assessment in Fairmont Hot Springs, BC

A Fairmont Hot Springs home didn’t need a new roof yet. We recommended a tune-up to add 3 to 5 years, and a new VELUX skylight.

The inspection

What we found. The shingles were showing their age, with worn vents and an older skylight, but the roof did not need replacing yet.

A tune-up instead. We recommended resealing and a full tune-up of about 2,500 square feet of main roof and 900 square feet of garage roof, to extend its life by roughly 3 to 5 years, and reflashing the skylight.

The skylight. For the skylight itself, we recommended a new VELUX M08 deck-mounted unit with ice and water shield around it and a VELUX flashing kit matched to the roof.
