The repair
The problem. The homeowner noticed the metal trim on one of the gables had been damaged over the spring and wanted it fixed before the snow came. She sent us a photo taken through an upstairs window.
The inspection. We came out, checked the roofline and removed the broken gable trim so a replacement could be made to match exactly.
Made to match. Off-the-shelf trim would not match this home’s green metal and profile, so we had a new piece custom bent by our flashing supplier in Cranbrook. Custom pieces take a little longer in the busy fall season, and we kept the homeowner updated the whole way.
The finish. The new green trim went on along the gable, protecting the wood edge and blending with the rest of the roofline.
