The project
The roof. This is one of the more complicated roofs we have worked on in the valley: steep hips, deep valleys, dormers and several levels, with very few simple planes.
Quoted from a distance. The owners did not need to meet us in person. We inspected the roof and sent them photos, which showed wear they had not been able to see from the ground. The quote and the schedule were all handled remotely.
The install. We stripped the old shingles down to the deck, checked and repaired the decking, then installed metal drip edge, Ice & Water Shield, synthetic underlayment, starter shingles, Malarkey Legacy shingles, ridge caps and new attic vents. Every roof penetration got new flashing, and the chimney flashing was sealed with a UV-resistant sealant.
The clean-up. The crew cleaned up every day, cleaned the eavestroughs, blew loose granules off the roof and ran a magnetic rake over the yard for nails before handing the home back.
The details that matter on a roof like this. With this many valleys and transitions, the small things do the work: 26-gauge metal valley flashing over Ice & Water Shield, two extra layers of peel-and-stick membrane where valleys meet, Malarkey Omniseal membrane in the window wells and dead valleys, new diverter flashings, and six nails in every shingle.
