The inspection
The question. The homeowner wanted to know if storms had damaged their roof.
How we checked. In October 2023 we inspected the roof up close and from above: shingles, ridges, the brick wall flashing, roof edges and eavestrough.
What we found. No storm damage. The roof was simply getting older: cracked and curling shingles, worn granules, and eavestrough packed with debris.
Our answer. Nothing urgent from a storm, but the roof and eavestrough were nearing the end of their life. We sent a photo report and quotes in three shingle options, so the homeowner could plan a replacement on their own timeline.
