Rotted wood fascia
Why fascia boards fail
Overflowing eavestroughs and missing drip edge let water soak the top of the fascia board. Over a few winters the wood softens, paint peels, and the hangers lose their grip.
We cut out the soft sections, fit new boards, and wrap the full run in bent aluminum so it will not need paint again. A properly lapped drip edge also keeps meltwater from ice dams off the wood.
